Match Report - 17 Aug 2026, Avon Bowling Club (est 1924) Pickering Triples 2 lost to South Warwickshire Triples Second Round
Kim was taken ill on the day so Ken stepped in and our intrepid trio of Basnett, Howe and Roberts welcomed a team from Wellesbourne for our first (and last) South Warwickshire Cup match. Against the odds we got off to a good start and were even leading after 6 ends. However the consistency of the Wellesbourne trio eventually paid off and we ended up losing quite comfortably. Thanks again to Ken for taking over as skipper and to the small but supportive crowd who bolstered the boys morale. Ah well, next year perhaps?
