AVON BOWLING CLUB PARKING ARRANGEMENTS 2024 onwards
In order to assist in the Parking Arrangement Members are encouraged to join the Sports Club as a Social Member at an annual fee of £80 per car. In the following notes Club Members refers to Avon Club Members who have joined the Sports Club.
Stratford District Council have now installed combination padlocks and chains for 11 parking bays which are ours to use. All padlocks will have the same combination code.
Community Bowls, Club Competitions, Social Evenings and Members ad hoc roll up
Parking will be unsupervised and available on a “first come basis”. Club Members are encouraged to park at the Sports Club. If any Member needs to park in any of the 11 bays set aside for the Bowls Club next to the public car park:
- 1.)Park your car initially at the barrier leading to the Bowls Club (in order not to obstruct people arriving or leaving the public car park).
- 2.)Walk over to an empty bay, use the combination code to unlock the padlock on one of the bollards at the edge of your chosen bay and wrap the chain around one of the orange bollards. Reattach the padlock to the chain, close it and change the code so the padlock is locked.
- 3.)Park your car.
- 4.)On returning to your car, drive out of your parking space and park at the barrier leading to the Bowls Club.
- 5.)Return to the parking bay on foot, use the combination code to unlock the padlock, reattach the chain between the two bollards marking the edge of your bay. Reattach the padlock to the chain, close it and change the code so the padlock is locked.
External Team Competitions, Pickering League, KDL and Ladies Fixtures
Match Captain assigns a Club Member to supervise parking. Up to 5 bays reserved for visiting teams.
One bay reserved for the Match Captain on the day. Members use the other 6 bays on a “first come basis”. Other Club Memberspark at the Sports Club. Any remaining Non-Sports Club Members make their own parking arrangements.
Friendly fixtures
For teams arriving by Coach
Parking will be unsupervised. One bay reserved for the Match Captain on the day. The other 10 bays used for Members on a “first come basis”. Additional parking for Club Members on the Sports Club grounds. Any remaining Non-Sports Club Members make their own parking arrangements.
For teams arriving by Car
Match Captain assigns a Club Member to supervise parking. Up to 5 bays reserved for visiting teams.
