FIRST AID



Your first aiders are Kevin McKinlay and Linda McKinlay
  • Kevin is a retired NHS Consultant Physician
  • Linda is a retired Specialist Nurse. 

The first aid station is in the Clubhouse, on the wall adjacent to the kitchen by the back door. There is a first aid kit available on this wall. On the bookshelf by the backdoor is a file containing first aid advice , the incident reporting forms and a plastic container with spare first aid kit therein.

The first aid board shows information on the club’s location with postcode and what Three Words location.

The portable defib is on the exterior wall of the front of the clubhouse in a locked box. The code is on the wall in the kitchen.

In the event of a first aid incident :
  • Assess the incident and whether there are any safety hazards.
  • If you feel there is no emergency consult the first aid manual or contact Kevin or Linda if present at the club.
  • Assess whether you can administer first aid at the scene. If not then call 111 for help.

 

In an emergency call 999

If the casualty is not breathing:

  • Start basic CPR and get help to fetch the defib.
  • Stay on the 999 line and the ambulance staff will talk you through what to do. 

If not a cardiac arrest but patient unwell call 999 and follow their advice.
