Match Report - 09 Sep 2026, Avon Bowling Club (est 1924) Pickering Triples 2 lost to WCC Staff CV34 6PS
In this match we made our usual disastrous start on all three games but this time only made a partial or non existent recovery in the second half. Ken, Bill and Kevin lurched to a 16 - 5 deficit at the half way stage and finished 25 - 12 down. Kim, Nic W. and Martin did at least win their second half 11 - 9 but the overall result was still a 21 - 14 defeat. Colin, Keith and Andy S were never in the hunt and couldn't even make the Captains call for double figures. All in all our worst defeat of the season, just when I thought we'd turned the corner. Ah well still two games to go.
