After the excitement of three wins in a row this felt like a return to earlier in the year, close to getting a few points but ultimately falling short.
Mark, Paul and Nic W. gave themselves a mountain to climb being 0 -16 down after 4 ends but recovered as far as base camp ending up 9 - 28. Ken, Neil and Nico P. were ahead for most of their match until a disastrous loss of 4 on the 15th end resulted in a 13 - 16 reverse.
Bill Davenport made an excellent debut in our third trio with Kim and Martin. They came even closer,holding on for a draw until the very last bowl.
Being at home with the first team meant a good atmosphere and excellent comestibles from his Rodness after the game, but it could have been even more enjoyable with a point or two instead of a pint or two.
