Match Report - 08 Jul 2026, Avon Bowling Club (est 1924) Pickering Triples 2 lost to Bidford on Avon 2, B50 4EZ
Sad to report that it was business as usual for Pickering 2 this week. It was a very hot day and we agreed with Bidford to reduce the game to 16 ends with a drinks break after 8 ends. At the halfway point we were ahead in one rink and only 1 shot down in another. However the second half saw a gentle fade into obscurity. Next time my new harsh approach will not be allowing a drinks break. Highlight of the afternoon was Bidford opening the bar and my boys outlasting their hosts in the hospitality stakes.
