Match Report - 10 Jun 2026, Avon Bowling Club (est 1924) Pickering Triples 2 lost to Shipston Sports
Not the greatest day in the history of Pickering 2. We managed to complete the game in between some heavy showers but these changed the conditions on the green and we weren’t able to adapt as well as a more ‘experienced’ Shipston team. Andy, Nic W. and Fergus were level half way through the game but lost out 8-21. Ken, Terry and debutant Martin Head got well behind early on and couldn’t recover losing 7-27. The bright spot was the 19-19 draw achieved by Kim, Nik S. and Neil W, denied a win by millimetres on the last end. Thanks to all the reserves, old stagers and potential new players who came to support the team.
