The Jim Stewart Plate


Jim Stewart was Club Captain in 2001. 

Whilst he and his wife bowled, Jim really supported his wife who was a county player.  After a short illness Jim sadly died during his year in office.  His wife went on to bowl successfully for a number of years and during that period presented the Club with the plate in Jim's memory.

Current Club Captain, Jon Dixon, having learned that Jim's wife had also passed away, decided to use the Plate for the annual Ladies vs Gents match and had it engraved.  Needless to say it was well received, and the Club now has another competitive/social event.
