MATCH REPORT: 30th June

On Monday evening (in rather toasty conditions) a triple from the Pickering 2 squad took on a Whitnash team in our first venture into knockout trophy bowls.
Although our boys (l’m using the word advisedly) may have lost 25 - 7 against an excellent Whitnash side, we won 7 of the 18 ends, played some great bowls and enjoyed a friendly game. 

Mssrs Spink Pickering and Basnett remain undaunted and we’ve agreed to try again next year. A big thank you to the impressive crowd who turned out (those who were owed a drink and those who weren’t) and a special thank you to Sandra and team for opening the bar. The Whitnash boys were particularly pleased about that.
