A match of three speeds at Welford. Dave, John and Peter C finished first losing 32-9 against a very strong Welford Triple, hoping that the leads on the other two rinks would be maintained and we could salvage a draw.
Unfortunately it was not to be. Dave W, Jon, and Mark saw a 13-9 lead after 15 ends evaporate into a 14-20 loss. Having dominated their match, Derek, Paul and Peter B found themselves down 19-20 after the 16th end. However thanks to a a great last wood from Peter, they were drawing 20-20 after 17 ends. Then with holding one with just the Welford Captain to bowl his last wood, they lost 20-23.
