KINETON & DISTRICT BOWLS LEAGUE

Regulations as per Bowls England Regulations, with the addition of the following
1. Three days notice to be given in writing (or e mail) for the cancellation of any
match, except in the case of weather interference or other unforeseen
circumstances
2. All matches will be of three rinks. In order that all games are of the same length
irrespective of start time or date, all games will be eighteen ends, with two trial
ends. If a match is curtailed because of the weather a minimum of 10 ends must
have been played for the result to count. The scores submitted must be those at the
number of ends played by the rink with the fewest ends played, i.e. if one rink has
played 14 ends and 2 rinks 15 ends the scores must be those after 14 ends.
3. Should any fixture not be played on the pre-arranged date then the League
Administrator must be notified immediately by both teams via email, copying
their opposition, giving the reason for the cancellation and details of the
rearranged match where known. Every effort should be made to play the fixture
on another date however should that not be possible then points will be awarded
as follows:
a) (i) If the original fixture was not played because one Club could
not raise a team then the Club not at fault shall be awarded 6
points and the Club at fault deducted 2 points.
(ii) Similarly if the rearranged match is cancelled by one Club
being unable to raise a team the same points allocation shall
take place.
b) If the original fixture, and any rearranged one, are cancelled for
any other reason, i.e. weather then each Club will be awarded 4
points.
c) If both Clubs agree for whatever reason not to play the
rearranged match then both Clubs will be allocated zero points.
Any disputes or matters relating to cancelled and rearranged matches shall be
referred to the Executive Committee which will allocate points as appropriate. A
Club may challenge this ruling but must provide evidence not previously
available to the Committee. If the evidence is not conclusive then the Committee's
original decision will be final and the original points allocation stand.
The Executive Committee has the right to review the renewnal of membership of
any Member Club persistently failing to complete their League fixtures or found
guilty of serious misconduct.
4. Should a team arrive at a match one player short, then No.1 and No.2 in the rink
will bowl three woods each, the offending rink to lose 25% of the total shots
scored rounded up..

bonus points to be awarded to the team scoring the most shots overall with one
point to each team where the overall scores are the same.
8 In the event of two or more Clubs having the same number of points at the top of
the ‘League ‘ table, a decision will be made on aggregate number of shots, for and
against.
