Match Report - 16 Jul 2025, Avon Bowling Club (est 1924) Pickering Triples 1 lost to FISSC
Hopes of improving on the 2-6 loss against FISSC in the away leg hit an early obstacle — after 9 ends we were losing 11-33! Fortunately it did get a bit better but not enough.
Dave B, Paul and Peter B had a great start, winning 7-5 at the halfway point, but narrowly lost 14-15.
After scoring only 2 in the first 9 ends, Dave W, Jon and Mark matched their opponents in the second half, losing 10-20.
Carl, Kevin, and Peter C were losing 2-16 at halfway, and despite a good recovery, lost 17-21.
So, a match of two halves, with a 30-23 win of the second half.😗
