Match Report - 12 Sep 2025, Avon Bowling Club (est 1924) Ladies lost to Stratford BC CV37 7AC
Our last Ladies friendly match was more memorable than others due to weather conditions and the need to finish before completion of 18 ends as Avon's players were due to return to the Club in time for the presentation of the Club Competition trophies by the Mayor of Stratford.
The afternoon began with tea, biscuits and a raffle whilst waiting for heavy rain to subside. The game began in blue skies and sunshine but unfortunately only 14 ends were completed by two of the rinks and a third rink 12 ends in order for Avon Ladies to be able to attend the Mayor's presentation.
