Avon Bowling Club played their penultimate game in the Stratford Herald League season against Chipping Campden on 1 August. After a slow start by Avon Ladies they took the lead through most of the game to reach the final end 4 points ahead. Unfortunately Avon were unable to hold on to this advantage and Chipping Campden finished the game by 1 point ahead. 18/17.
The League scoring for Avon was 10 points for ends won and Chipping Campden 8 points for ends won plus 2 for a win, thus making the League scoring 10/10 so a draw.
The final game of the Season for Avon B C will be played at 6.00 on the 22 August at RLS against Whitnash B team. (postponed from the 18th July heatwave)
