Another defeat for the plucky Pickering 2. We were close on two rinks but despite recovering from 15 -6 down after 13 ends to 15 all after 17 the Basnett, Pandazis and Howe combo fell by one shot on the final end. Even the presence of the captain actually bowling could not prize more than a 12 - 17 defeat on the other rink. A bit of good news was the debut of Kim Yates, our fifth new starter this season. We were down to the bare 9 players for only the second time all year in this game but reinforcements are coming for next week
