Looking to the week ahead, on Thursday, (10-July) the Club will host the annual Mayor's Match.
Set to arrive at 5:45pm, with bowling expected to start at 6:15pm, incumbent Mayor, Dani Hunter, who is also president of the Club, will lead a team of ex-mayors, councillors, colleagues and friends in a friendly match against Avon BC, to raise funds for her chosen charities.
With the promise of continued good weather, and in support of three incredibly worthy causes; Welcombe High School Trust Fund, Stratford Family Club and Ward 12 at Birmingham Children's Hospital, the two teams will be battling to avoid the draw that seems to take place every year.
Whatever the result, and with refreshments available from the Clubhouse bar, it promises to be yet another highlight in the Club calendar.
